And yes, we dropped "Common Core" from our name, and as our focal point. We are still committed to helping teachers meet the standards, but we felt the name limited our reach.
We know teachers are going beyond the standards to bring students to even higher levels of learning. We know teachers are using innovative instructional design theories to develop students' problem solving and critical thinking skills. As teachers become more knowledgeable of the standards and look to create a personalized learning environment, they are challenged with developing plans that include authentic assessment opportunities for their students.
